State of Georgia v. B.T.

Description: Client was charged with Failure to Maintain Lane and DUI. Refused tests and driver’s license was confiscated by officer.

Outcome:  I negotiated with the State Trooper and saved client’s license.  I negotiated with the Solicitor and obtained a reduction from DUI to Reckless Driving.  Prosecutor agreed that probation could terminate in 6 months if client completed all requirements.  The reduced charge saved client’s job for the government.

State of Georgia v. S. D.

Description:  Client charged with Failure to Maintain Lane and DUI/Alcohol.  Client’s car was alleged to have been swerving across the lane lines and she was stopped.  The officer reported that my client had a moderate odor of alcohol, slurred speech, had trouble standing outside her car, and failed all Field Sobriety Tests.  She was then placed under arrest for DUI.  She refused to submit to a state breath test.
Outcome:  I saved my client’s driver’s license and then met with the prosecutor and obtained a reduced charge of Reckless Driving, which has less of an impact on my client’s criminal history, freedom, and other consequences.

D.N. v. N.G.

Case Conclusion Date:  2011

Description:  A young child died at a swimming pool after being left unattended by the responsible adult.  Unfortunately, the family was so grief-stricken that they consulted with us after the wrongful death statute of limitations period had expired, so we had to pursue the case as only a personal injury, pain and suffering case, which reduced the value of the case.  Ultimately, we were able to settle the case without a trial and allow this grief-stricken family some closure to this painful and sad event.
Outcome:  $200,000.00 Settlement.

J.H. v. L.W.

Description:  Business lawsuit.
Outcome:  Judgment for Plaintiff of $125,000.00
